As I've said before, they were "children", but they ventured out into the "Grown Up" world. On a map, it would say "Here be Dragons".
There's a saying "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime". Stealing a car, and joyriding while drunk is something that is quite likely to end in someones rest. If you're willing to do something as boneheaded as that, then you have to accept the risk that you'll kill yourself, and leave a grieving family.
Tesco super unleadedcan quality. Irrelevent to this thread. It was nothing to do with marketing that caused me to make that...
The world is full of rest and injury for the incautious. They went out and played with the big boys, and paid the ultimate price.
Five die in joyride car 1432actually keep is stall As you know, in normal flight, the rudder causes the plane to pivot laterally on it's axis. Unless the effect is counteracted...
It's probably because I was brought up on a farm. You see a whole raft of ways that you can kill yourself. Go running with cows. Jump into a silage pit. Climb on a stack of hay bales. Find live shotgun shells. Drink from bottles you find in the shed. Get too close to a muckspreader. Stick your arm into the PTO shaft of a tractor.
I'm just paranoid and cautious when it comes to injuring or killing myself, so the thought of stealing a car, and getting into a drunken police pursuit never really appealed. There's too many ways for it to go tragically wrong.
As others have said, (as a parent), I really feel for the families of the deceased. They were only 13 to 16 years old. Mine's growing up so fast, it doesn't feel like it'll be long before she's their age.
From the POV of the deceased: The pbuttengers knew they were getting into a stolen car, driven by a drunk, uninsured, unlicensed driver. The driver knew he was drunk, uninsured, and unlicensed. Is rest a fitting punishment for stupidity? In the jungle, wilderness or desert, the answer is yes. Should suburbia be any different?
Pete.
