Driver A is driving 100mph. Everyone is keeping right except to pbutt. He moves right after completing a pbutt and a driver doing 120mph pbuttes by without resistance. Where's the problem?
Driver A is driving 55mph. Everyone is keeping right except to pbutt. He moves right after completing a pbutt and driver doing 75mph pbuttes by without resitance. Where's the problem?
Driver B is driving 55mph in the left lane. Nobody is keeping right except to pbutt. 75mph is weaving through the blockages. Obvious problem.
No. Road rage is caused by buttholish, Me first, f*** you behavior. People who decide they are the most important person on the road. It could be a speeder or a sloth. It's how they drive, not how fast. For instance, I encounter a great number of MFFY drivers that are speeders, and sloth. The light turns green, they wait, they slowly start moving through their turn. Not a care in the world that the green signal has a finite length and other people are waiting. As seen in a post I made a few days ago, these people are irritating even when I am using a -bicycle-. After making their turn they slowly accelerate until they are doing 10-15 over. They also actively block pbutting much of the time.
Speed limits in the USA are almost entirely nonsensical. I find even the biggest 'speed kills' adovcates are often irritated by bicyclists and that's where their proclaimed 'good behavior' begins to break down. Most people who proclaim 'speed kills' and rigid adherence to the speed limit are those who just don't want people driving faster than them. But are irritated by those who go slower.
Proper disciplined driving renders the speed question moot. The conflicts are gone. Why make this complex system of who's more morally correct. Just stay right. What's the problem?
