Road rage is never justifiable, and that's what I think this law is trying to say, that's why I'm against the wording.
There are some real needles out there. People who honk if you wait more than a second at an intersection. People that honk if you are driving the speed limit in the left hand lane- oblivious to the fact I'm about to turn a half mile ahead. Nonsense like that. There's no justification for that. It's a lack of empathy.
The other day I was driving behind a guy that was doing 25-30 mph in a 35 mph right hand lane. Now, somebody with road rage would have gotten peeed at the guy and flicked him off, or worse, but I try and take things in stride like that, and try and think of why the driver would be doing that (maybe he was an old driver, maybe he had car troubles). But people with road rage don't think.
Speeding goes hand in hand with road rage. People with road rage think they are the only people that matters. Their time is the only thing that maters. It's a sick, diseased atbreastude that needs to be attacked at the core. It's no wonder I see the most speeding around rush hour.
