That atbreastude prevails, sadly, amongst all clbuttes and levels of society. There are many who think that no one from a different background could possibily do their job whilst overlooking the fact that if they learnt to do it someone else can also learn. It such an atbreastude that keeps many people out of work when they'd much rather be doing something useful.

You appear to be suggesting that I'm trying to say that all those with doctorates or other acamdemic qualifications are thick and that all manual workers are intelligent.

Nothing could be further from the truth, unlike many, I've had experience in a variety of different situations (including a successful attempt at postgraduate study) and have encountered both intelligent and thick people, competent and incompetent people everywhere I've been.
