I gave up holding them in awe when it became obvious that one of them (trained in the 3rd world) I was dealing with had had a *much* lower standard of education than I had myself.

Southampton General by any chance? They tried to charge me £18.00 for parking there 8 hours 10 minutes, at the last service visit.

Speaking of MRI one of my colleagues did a PHD in 1962 on "Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance". He used J Linsley-Hood transistorised HIFI amps to drive the electromagnets. At the time he confessed that his research had no commercial potential he could identify, it was a figment of unimagineable complexity, just "Ivory Tower" stuff ...

Just to cheer you up, In Costco the other day came across a special offer on 4 x 5litre tins of Pomace Oil, I'd never come across it previously. Reading the tins it turned out they weren't even 100% PomaceOil. It was an unspecified Pomace Oil Soya Oil blend.

Kinda hard to work out which was the adulterant? The soya or the pomace.
