What gets me is how these people will rant and rave about the price of gas and the perceived "shortage," that the media and-or the oil companies are making that they obiedently fall for, yet they won't alter their habits to conserve fuel. The most blatent example I have noted of late is people out on errands with another person. One person goes into the business (such as I observed at the bank this afternoon) while the other person stays in the car with the engine idling to keep the A-C running for the person in the car. I'd like to know why that other person couldn't just go into the bank (or other business) with the other one and take a seat in there and wait on his companion? Ditto for the hospital that is along one of my walking routes. I see some idiot in the car w engine idling waiting on someone in the building; never mind that there are all kinds of waiting rooms in there that are airconditioned where the person could wait and leave the car off and not wasting gas.
