allan tracy Think objectively rather emotionally about this. In particular, look at the "driver in a hurry, child in...

I've nothing against there being alternatives to people driving cars on the road providing they are safe. However the point was that if we had safe alternatives for people to use bikes more then people might cycle more. Nothing was said about people who want to cycle on roads still doing so.

where have i said so far that I'm talking about forcing all cyclists onto shared use cycle lanes?

The alternatives would be for people not currently using bikes due to not wanting to use the road. Any cyclists who want to use the road still does so, I suspect a lot or most wouldn't change and wouldn't have to. Rather than marginalising things we increase the pool of cyclists. I'm happy for cyclists to use the roads. I'm also happy for them to use safe alternatives where they exists whatever they may be. I also think we could have different and better alternatives to what is already there.

Thats what i asked you. There are a number of laws the government has which are petty much designed solely for stupid people. A lot of health and safety, lots of road rules. Should we get rid of all of them?
