Your logic Steve is funnier, I asked the question in a populist way by mentioning lane 1 as the "slow" lane (as do 95% of the population) as I had only been aware of specs cameras in the North - somewhere I would not normally venture to.
I mention the illegality of undertaking as it is prime facie evidence of careless driving whatever you may believe in stevieland - I'm honest I have undertaken but am aware of the risk , I check that I see no apparent reason why the driver would suddenly pull in to the left i.e junctions ahead, I know the area is clear to the left and I accelerate past the blind spot (the blind spot as most drivers do not think about indicating left on a motorway and checking the left hand lane is clear before returning to the left hand lane)
PS j'accuse you of being a prat - surely 68 plus 1.999 (comedy 70mph but apparently beyond your little intellect) on a normal motorway is not illegal even if there is a speed camera there so no reason to evacuate my bowels - so by reasoned deduction you are the prawn who does 100mph until they see the camera and slams on the brakes to 50 in the "fast" lane 100mm behind another speed merchant - 100mm is not the advised gap at 100mph and its not the "fast" lane - I know, I know, I know before you slag me off again Irony is something made of Iron in your world innit?
