HELP! big trouble with VW Lupo brakes

Hi everybody! I'm the owner of a Lupo TDI, and recently I've started feeling strong vibrations on the steering wheel every time I brake. I've brought the car to the nearest VW garage, where they have said me that one of the discs was "bent", and that VW would surely pbutt the repair under warranty (my car has been registered in december 2003)... well good! BUT, sadly enough, the clerk that was in charge with the warranties was out on a holiday, and that they would call me the following week... OK... fair enough... Now after two weeks (and a lot of phone calls), they have just seen my car again, and they have decided that the damage is normal "wearing out"... after 25k miles! also I still have the original pads!!!... it starts looking like a serious case of the "oh she's just a woman" syndrome... Obviously I'm not very happy... This afternoon I'll pick up my car and bring it somewhere else for a second opinion, and I'll surely ask them to write down their findings, and the reasons why the warranty is not covering the damage... If, as I fear, the second mechanic should refuse to change the discs under warranty (well, VW seems to behave in the same way everywhere after all...), I'll get a pair of decent brakes... Brembo should do it!^^ In the meanwhile... do you have any other advice? And above all, have you heard about any similar problem? Tnx for your help

PS sorry for any mistake, but I've got to the UK only some 6 months ago!

899cc Seicento SX. They don't usually get called 600 over here, probably because most people don't know Italian. OK... the difference between a Seicento and a Lupo is that...

PS2 sorry for the crosspost with uk.rec.cars.vw.watercooled!
