I hate the SPEED KILLS adverts as it is only inappropriate speed that might kill. i was travelling at 30mph last night when a group of scallies from a council estate decided to run infront of me. The tracksuit clad type with bottles whose parents don't care what they get up to and are probably just as bad. It doesn't matter what speed I was going, they would have come off worse if I had not predicted what they were about to do. That was across a wide main road. I can travel at 100mph down a motorway and it is perfectly OK to do so providing the conditions at the time allow it, but I wouldn't do the same speed through a town centre. So you have to use your common sense and judge for yourself. Boy racers in crappy 1litre cars are excluded from the judge for yourself as they often have no brain anyway. If the person can get away with it then good for him. Lots of people go through courts and get off with things they have done on a technicality - that's why it shoudl be changed to "guilty", "not guilty" or "got away with it".
