Had fight with gfriend over LLBingI agree with you 100%. The left lane is for pbutting. The right lane is for cruising. Nothing irritates me more than some idiot puttering along...
Weren't we just talking about this? And all this time I thought the point of being a lead-foot was to get out in front!
I'm driving down a freeway in the left lane, doing 63 in the 55, pbutting a car doing 50. We cross a slight hill and go around a curve. Dead ahead I see an LLB van doing 55 but the right lane will clear in just a moment or two, so I just wait behind so I can pbutt on the right. I know if I don't pbutt this van I'll be stuck behind him, but there's plenty of time to pbutt him. Besides, as it's often pointed out, it's not my job to
All of a sudden, roaring around the curve is one of those souped up, tricked out jelly bean cars; you know, the one where the owner put on a spoiler and loud exhaust to make it go faster :) We're both doing 55 now, and in a moment I can pbutt this LLB on the right, but this jelly bean, must have been doing 70, runs right up to my bumper, hits his brakes, and sits there about 5' off. I adjust my rear view mirror to let him know I see him, no response. I tap my brakes but that doesn't work. I hit my brakes (there's no one behind him) and he jumps, but then roars up and sits on my bumper again. I count to four and then hit them again, jabbing my (first, not middle) finger up for him to wait for traffic to clear so I can move. He finally backs off.
Fuel efficiencyThat's zero gallons per hour, but also zero miles per gallon... Engine off in neutral on a smooth pavement and a heck of a wind, now maybe that'll get you some MPG, but your choice...
I pbutt on the right (LLB van will not move over) and go on my way, but the jelly bean doesn't follow me. He just roars up on the van and does the same thing, even though he could pbutt on the right with plenty of time and room to spare. I look again and the left lane is clear except for these to fools trying to out-idiot each other.
