I agree with you 100%. The left lane is for pbutting. The right lane is for cruising.
Nothing irritates me more than some idiot puttering along 5 miles below the speed limit in the left hand lane. What's worse is when you got some guy doing the same thing in the right hand lane and you can't pbutt either of them!
And it's not just people driving pbuttenger cars. I get fed up with truck drivers carrying a fully loaded trailer who decide to get into the left lane as soon as they see a hill. Then all of a sudden traffic goes from 70 mph to 50 mph until we hit flat land and the truck can regain his speed.
I know what their objective is. Usually there is another truck in front of him and based on the other guy's speed going up hills, he can estimate how much it is going to slow himself down if his truck can pull more of a load or has a bigger engine.
But sometimes I wonder if they do this on purpose to just pee people off. Thinking the interstate was made strickly for their use and pbuttenger cars are just treading on their turf.
Fuel efficiencyThat's zero gallons per hour, but also zero miles per gallon... Engine off in neutral on a smooth pavement...
If any of you have every driven interstate 81 you know what I'm talking about. I'm hoping they will pbutt a law requiring all trucks to drive in the right hand lane until they can build more lanes.
