My brother asked if I fancied a dodge up to where Radio 1's big Weekend is taking place as it's only about 2 miles away from here. Just as we set out the sky darkened and the heavens opened with a torential hailstorm. As I was negotiating speed bumps at around 12-15mph I saw a taxi approach a junction about 25 yards away to my left.

There must be an instinct that grows with being a responsible driver because I just "knew" he wasn't going to stop as he slowly approached the white line. Sure enough he kept going and turned right, across my path....it was only then that I noticed he had a mobile phone wedged between his shoulder and head and also appeared to be reaching into an inside pocket!!! All this remember while negotiating a juncion in horrendous weather!!!
