Interesting that you retained several layers of posts above, but you deleted the cite that you asked for, and I provided. Hmmm.
I was not able to answer your question because the only Chrysler gas caps I am familiar is on my Pacifica. It doesn't say anything about the fuel requirement. It just tells me to be careful when I open it. BTW, the recommended fuel for the 3.5L engine is midgrade (89), I don't know what is recommend for the standard, lower power 3.8L.
I had to stop by the dealer today to pick something up and took a look at a couple of gas caps on SR-T models.
The SR-T Magnum pickup had nothing on the gas cap. However it did say "Premium Unleaded Fuel Only" under the gas gauge on the instrument panel. The quote you deleted specifically addressed the SR-T models - The spokesman for Chrysler engineering said the SR-T can run on regular unleaded without damage.
The SR-T Crossfire didn't say anything on the gas cap or the instrument panel about fuel grade. The words "Premium Fuel Only" was printed on the inside of of the filler door. (The word "Unleaded" was absent, but I won't buttume that this means one could run it on leaded gas.) Again, Chrsyler engineers says that these cars can safely burn regular.
Hehe... I don't know, Scott. Looks like you have the shovel!
