Why should other drivers or road users give a toss?

stand by for chaos
Lots of luvverly snow on the way. Who wants to bet the usual privatesheads will get stuck abd blame someone else.? (Not me, for one) The note at the bottom shows...

They are correctly adjusted, and do not dazzle when dipped. I have checked, and can butture you that they are not as bright, or as likely to dazzle oncoming traffic, as the HID lights that many modern cars have.

Cars with HID lighting are supposed to have levelling devices, to reduce the chances of dazzling, but IME it often appears that it's not working.

And I've no doubt that the candlepower of a HID headlight is greater than that of a conventional 60w bulb. IMO my cars are safer for having better h-lights, so why should I be bound by an antiquated law that only allows 55-60w bulbs to be fitted on cars with conventional lighting, on public roads? One good reason would be enough.

Anyone want a Laguna 2.0RT for sparesrepair
Free to a good home :- N regd Laguna 2.0 TR in Dark Green.. Good engine, transmission and bodywork. The Story.. Girlfriends car, started to get it ready for...

You asked for advice. If you don't like it, simple, don't use it, but don't criticise my solution to a similar problem, simply on guesswork.

As for the law. I've been driving with uprated bulbs for the last 20 plus years. I've never had anyone check, and I've never heard of anyone being convicted of using uprated bulbs in conventional headlamps. Mike.
