In the US, hardly anyone uses a CB anymore. They were real popular in the from the mid 70's thru the 80's. Now a days only truckers have them, and maybe 1 in 1000 cars. I had one till I junked my last car. I never got any use out of it anymore, so the radio is in my closet now, and antenna went with the car to the junkyard because it was too much hbuttle to remove the wiring.

Like someone else said "Free Hitch". You tried to help, the guy was a jerk, so I would have gone back for it and grabbed it.
That's just like a while back, I was in a parking lot and a guy had a shopping cart tip over with all sorts of valuables in it. There was stuff dumped and smashed all over the place. I was walking past when I saw it, and said to the guy "looks like you had an accident". I had fully intended to help the guy and was just trying to start a conversation. The guy looked up at me and said "do you work here". I said no. He said "then why dont you get the f*** out of here and mind your own goddamn business". I just looked at him and said "I was going to offer to help you, but with an atbreastude like yours, I hope it tips over again".
Sometimes it's better not to help people !!!
