How does one get run over 1208
I etc. of Playing devil's advocate, here - perhaps because pedestrians don't present much risk to cars, therefore driving something that has the potential to...

Yes I pbutted the advanced test and no, I haven't knocked down any pedestrians.

Yes, I have had a close relation end in a collision with a vehicle.

However, I don't see what your point is. I will state my point again, for those like yourself that let emotions get in the way of understanding.

At a crossing, pedestrians have right of way and drivers are required to stop and allow them to cross. This is how it should work. However, if a pedestrain crosses the road before they have confirmed the approaching vehicle is stopping, they are putting themselves in great danger. It is a possibility the driver may not slow.

As a car driver who has taken and pbutted an advanced course, I take my responibilities seriously. If I am waiting to turn right onto a main road, I will not proceed on the strength of another vehicle indicating left to exit it. This would put me in danger if the other driver has indicated wrongly.

I confirm the actions of others before I proceed, regardless of right of way. Pedestrians should do this because they are fragile - but in many cases they don't. This atbreastude of relying on right of way is not advisable.

Clear enough now, or shall I do it in brightly coloured crayons?

And ... ?
