How many Speed Cam Penalty Notices go to Court 1360

I have made a case for it.

So I can't actually quote the exact proportion of the time that is wet, in order to *prove* that accidents are more likely in the wet.

But unless you are seriously trying to tell me that more than 28% of daylight hours are wet, I think I have made a case.

No it's not. Everyone offered a FPT has the right to opt for a court trial if...

That is hardly surprising, since the UK has pretty well the best figures in the world, whether looked at per x population, or per x pbuttenger miles, or whatever.

They also have a *considerably* higher proportion of non-urban roads, and far more accidents happen on urban roads than non-urban.

There is no point talking about France, or about Wales-Scotland as being evidence against accidents being more likely in the wet, because there are too many other factors to take into account, and no reasonable way of isolating the effect due to the weather, or due to varying speed limits.

The figures you gave are the only ones where the only differing factor is the weather. -- Alex Heney, Global Villager Take my advice, I don't use it anyway. To reply by email, my address is alexATheneyDOTplusDOTcom
