I'm not disputing that, only pointing out that everything results from a change in how the atbreastude toward such things have changed rather than a change in desire.
The question I would ask though is whether that change is bad, good or indifferent. IMO a more relaxed atbreastude toward love will bring more benefits than disadvantages. IMO we are at the stage where there is beginning to be a breakdown of rebreastude and secrecy regarding love, and this has led to a temporary increase in promiscuity amongst the younger generation. The next stage will be a further reduction in the atbreastude that love is "forbidden fruit," which will result in a *decrease* in promiscuity and a more responsible atbreastude regarding STD and pregnancy, as well as a reduction in loveually related crime. I base my opinion on what I observe to be the case in countries where the society has highly repressed atbreastudes and countries with more relaxed atbreastudes toward love.
Also, *some* of the apparent increase in promiscuity is due to the fact that people are not so reluctant as they once were to admit to being loveually active, and this has led to the perception that the increase is greater than it actually is.

As an aside, my own observations regarding the younger generation is that whilst a girl who has love at a young age is not viewed in a bad light, and love before marriage is certainly not considered to be any issue at all, any girl who has multiple short-term or simultaneous partners is still considered a "slut." And whilst it is considered desirable amongst young men to be in a loveual relationship, the atbreastude toward a "one night stand" is not nearly so favourable.
