I'll buttume that's a "yes, I agree with all that, however.." then. The point? Is that point that "It's forced people not to drive into...

I see Ken has invited Chavez over from Venezuela to aggravate the US Ambbuttador even more. No doubt at our expense. Ken is about confrontation, He's also appears to be a bigot, he hates the Isrealis, he hates cars, he hates the US. Or maybe he just loves publicity and finds bandwagons he can ride. I see no logic in the arguments put forward here defending the degree of delayed payment available. My best guess is in reality it came down to the specification of the scheme. It has the stamp of Ken on it, a radical idea implemented without consideration for the "other side" or for value for money. He has poured money into multiple and widespread means of payment but not been willing to spend a little on mechanisms to make the payment *period* reasonable. That's clbuttic Ken. I see he's now in confrontation with rail companies over oyster cards. How he manages to be confrontational with SW trains while also being willing to pour loads of our money into making oyster cards readers available for train services entering from outside London is illuminating. -- Mike Reid
