How to get Chelsea Tractors off the Roads 126

You really are utterly shameless. The lies you'll tell to try to win an arguement! I thought you were better at this than plowman, but clearly I misjudged you.

First of all, I included the cost of fuel in the two lines immediately following your snip. Why did you snip them? Did that they support my buttertion and disproved yours come into it? Then you come up with an economy figure of a much larger, less economical car. Then you come up with a higher fuel cost - I make 35mpg 12.1p per mile (96.9p per litre - I'm paying 94.9 for diesel from my a BP garage) Then you utterly ignore the fact that this is for a NEW car. Then you utterly ignore that this is based on keeping a car 3 years. Then you utterly ignore the alternative calculations on higher mileage or keeping a car longer.

It's more than possible to run a car for less than 20p a mile - EVEN A NEW ONE.

Even if we use your utterly biased, lying, WRONG figures for economy and fuel prices: 12.5p fuel per mile * 10,000 per year = £1250 VED at £110 per year Insurance at £200 per year Servicing at £100 per year.

Dave Plowman Like the transmitters, the playout centre, main block CTA (SCAR survived by the skin of its teeth), Outside broadcasts, studios, etc. etc. All thats left is bits...

Let's say the person has bought a Perodua Nippa from a FRANCHISED garage and thus paid over the top for it. According to Parkers, an R reg 1997 5d EX with 80k miles on it will cost £300. Now, even if he writes off THE WHOLE COST OF THE CAR EVERY YEAR, that's still clocking in at 19.6p per mile. That's with a garage servicing it, paying over the odds for the car and it depreciating 100% and being replaced every year.

BBC1 Traffic cops last night
For those that missed the above programme it seems that the police have new powers to remove uninsured cars...

Please don't lie again, you'll get caught out and shown up every time.
