Hurricane Katrina Comments and Questions 2271
Examples? Do you really think that the US is based on top down management? From the FEMA situations in my area, it is the state who...

That's what happens when infrastructure is destroyed. You think the storm is over; it is not. Until the water stops pouring in New Orleans isn't going to get any cleanup done at all. Mississippi has started cleanup in that the power trucks are working (note the word working) their way down. Before them the tree crews have to clean up to the point where those huge trucks can have access. And this is just getting the power grid to a point where it won't trip or cascade when a piece of it is turned on.

Those rescue people were also getting shot at. Where do you think they should swarm? They actually need to do a grid search which is difficult in feets of water.

One improvement would be to get the media out of there. The first priority (from my understanding) is to get people all people out of New Orleans. These people don't want to leave.

Oh, wonderful. You want a bigger mess to be made. Instead of working at search and rescue everybody would have to be tending his visit.

He does. You just don't intend to ever see any of this.

I think it is abhorrent for you to use the tragedies of these people to push your anti-Bush politics.
