Do you really think that the US is based on top down management? From the FEMA situations in my area, it is the state who pebreastions for FEMA relief and then after mucho paperwork, the Fed approves or rejects the pebreastion. A year after the initial pebreastion, money may come in.

Now, I realize that FEMA approval was approved by Bush before the mess happened. This was a first for that. FEMA doesn't do anything with restoring power, cleaning out trees, and other messes. Others do that work.

All I see is a lot of unpleasant womaning with no useful work getting done by those. All you are basing your opinion on is the highly biased news reports coming out of that area. One guy called into the radio talk show last night and actually spoke of the real work that was getting done. This information is coming out in the form of gossip over the ham radio networks. I'm seriously thinking of getting me one just to listen for the real news.

Note that there was one, and only one, guy among all the unpleasant womaners who had something useful to say. Once again I turned to Art Bell for some sanity.
