I Failed! 1266It happens that Peter formulated : Nervous is natural, but you should learn to settle down...

I think it was because I was nervous, and tired. The main reason was because it wasn't smooth enough. This was due to lack of observation, which was due to me being nervous etc. He said that near the end of the test I had settled down, and the last 15 mins would have been OK.
He marked me down for acc. sense, braking, use of gears, and hazard management. My observer said that it's all rubbish. The reason for the gears is only because I didn't use 5th gear enough. I won't argue about 5th gear, but I think it was border line. The roads were quite twisty, and hilly with a few straights between them, I choose not to use 5th on the straights. My observer said that he doesn't use 5th gear.
In addition to this he said I gave a few too many signals, and thought that I sometimes rushed the gears. I blame the gear box for it feeling rushed. My 'box is rubbish, and the syncro mesh is shot in 2nd.
I do agree with the main reason for failing, and am very dissapointed with my observation during the test. It was a big shock for my observer.
I could mess it up again. It's like any other test anyway, meaningless!
