I'm driving home from J-ville this evening on 95 NB. Traffic is light (well, light for Interstate 95) and I am approaching this minivan with WV plates. I'm doing 65ish in the right lane and he is doing about 60ish in the right lane. I move to the center lane to pbutt and this numbnutz decides he needs to speed up all of a sudden while I'm pbutting him. So I nail the accelerator to about 80 and finish the pbutt and move over to the right where I belong and resume cruising at about 65-70. Numbnutz by this time has slowed doen considerablly and eventually drops back about 1-4 mile and I don't see him for a while.
Just over the State line into GA and who goes racing by me but numbnutz from WV again. He pbuttes and I don't see him for a few minutes untill he slows down again. Back over to pbutt and go by again and he does the drop back thing again. Little while later he pbuttes again and fortunately that is the last thing I see of him as I reach my exit and get the hell off of sugar Alley.
What I don't get about some people is why they can't maintain a constant speed? With the exception of my burst to 80 to pbutt numbnutz the first time and a brief slow down in Camden County when I spotted a DWB patrol, I didn't deviate from the 65-70MPH range the entire trip. And it was not just WV on this trip. I notice it quite often. Don't these people realize what cruise control is for??
