I don't know about that. In our area, I seem to have my own personal statie on duty 24-7, just servicing me, personally. Where I live is off of an exit to NOWHERE. I have a few neighbors, but most of them have four legs and a tail. Yet at least 8 out of 10 times that I enter or exit the highway, my own personal statie is parked there on the entrance ramp, on speed patrol. WHEN HE'S NOT THERE, he is further up the highway, with somebody pulled over. In fact, I think I have more than one statie on my personal payroll, as there are two different patrol vehicles in use (one marked, one somewhat marked-stealthed)
I've no doubt where most of the local tax money that I pay goes. Nobody else is around to support them, so they must get a huge chunk of change from me, personally.
On a side note, if I drive just 15 minutes, I enter a large city where I've never seen any speed patrol. But out in farm country, it seems to be REALLY IMPORTANT to stop evil speeders doing 80 in a 65 zone. Don't want to endanger too many cows, y'know. -Dave
