The impacts are different between the two against a regular car. It is clear that a SUV is more likely to kill someone in a normal car than an impact with a normal car. The momentum to be absorbed is possibly higher and the impact point is not where the protection is.

I don't care about the use of fuel, that's someone else's argument. I don't care about you driving an exotic sports car, I don't care about you driving a large executive car. I care about incompetent people who drive a large SUV to make themselves feel safer while making it more dangerous for everyone else.

Because Beeching was in the pay of the road transport lobby and there's been f*** all investment in railways ever since.

I presented you with facts. I didn't just say ner, I don't give a f***, I'm gonna do it anyway. That seems to be the counter-argument from the pro-choice-pro-SUV lobby, call them what you will. Talking about banning my hobby is equivalent to banning green-laning, not banning regular every day transport.

I don't want things banned, I want people to make more sensible decisions themselves.

Yes, I come across a lot of idiots driving inconsiderately in SUVs but also in vans and particularly people carriers. Idiot flags are very useful at the moment.
