Due to interminable construction taking place on I-10 north of Tucson, the speed limit drops from 75 MPH down to 55 MPH. Just for yuks, I decided to drive at the posted limit. The result was a constant stream of vehicles (including a few micro-pbutting Truckers) flying up behind me and either pbutting me or, if they were stupid enough to be part of a cluster, slamming on their brakes while they waited for traffic already in the left lane to clear.
Needless to say, I immediately terminated this experiment. ;)
Barely a day goes by without a report of some bane accident along this stretch of I-10 between Tucson and Phoenix. One wonders how many of those "accidents" were caused by drivers trying to avoid some doddering old Slowbird driving 55 MPH and who either overcorrected, rolling their top-heavy SUV in a solo car accident, or who cut off another driver while swerving around the old bitty and would up in the ditch with 2 or 3 other cars (meanwhile the Slowbird who caused it all putters away, oblivious to the carnage he caused).
Of course, this is precisely how Sloth Kills.
