the them I to

I was taught during my driving lessons to minimise lane changes wherever possible as the potential for accidents increases with each one.

Having someone sit on my bumper is hardly an ideal situation for avoiding accidents, though.

changing

Agreed - and I will do this if I'm not in the middle of overtaking a stream of cars. If the next car for me to overtake is some distance ahead I'll gladly pull back in, and generally will do anyway even if there is no-one behind me.

lane, the next

It annoys me too, but I don't sit on the offending vehicle's arse and try and bully them into submission by flashing my headlights.

My post was really just a rant about that aspect of it all. If he had patiently waited for me to complete my overtaking and didn't get himself worked up about it, I expect that he would have arrived at his destination feeling far less stressed.

I just don't see what right he has to try and bully me using his headlights. He would have easily been able to see that my overtaking would have been completed shortly, but I don't think he could see further than my own rear-end.

Cheers, GazChap. --
