Tim Downie "aggressive" do is withdrawn to a brake someone

Unfortunately it quite often doesn't work. I had a similar experience yesterday. It was a workman (in yellow vest thing) in a Saxo. He was right up my bumper, I don't think I could see his reg IIRC, and we were doing 60mph. It was also a fairly twisty country road so you couldn't really drive much faster, and you couldn't legal go any faster anyway. I was behind a few cars anyway so I couldn't go any faster.

At first he wasn't as close and I thought maybe he wants to overtake, dispite the fact that it wasn't really safe. So I moved to the left, and lifted off, and he did nothing, but he was now almost touching my bumper. I just sped up again, but he didn't move any further back. It seemed that he was a complete idiot, so I braked, flashed my brake lights at him, and still nothing. So I just dropped a couple of gears, went back upto 60mph, and I didn't see him up my bumper for ages.

He must've been just a complete idiot because there's no way that my 899cc Seicento is that much faster than a Saxo, even if he accelerated in 5th gear.

Accidents on built-up roads tended to be the fault of the motorist rather than the motorcyclist...

Just after that a Clio Sport with twin exhausts (standard not modified) pulls out in front of me. I slam the brakes on (I was doing 60mph), and find that the car just isn't accelerating. I was managing to keep up with the car easily, acclerating in 5th gear! If the road was a little different I would've probably overtaken it lol. 899cc overtaking what was probably 2.0l!
