Insuring 17 year old driver

Euro NCAP strongly recommends Stability Control
I'm quite surprised to see an independent testing organisation banging the drum about this. Not knowing any better...

You might be surprised. there are a growing number of kids who hate new cars, don't like the new jelly all the same shape, and are too tall to comfortably drive them.

They have parents buying them what they want, and are choosing minis, Dolomites, Volvos, imps, Ladas and Beetles, (some of them actually want Old Saab 900's and old rear engined Skodas, but both are getting too rare and the insurance can bee too high on the saabs) and are prepared to get their hands dirty.

It isn't just a UK thing either, In the US euro imports and clbuttics are starting to make ingrounds again the rice scene. Germany has the OldTimer and Young timer race series, in Japan the BosoZuko boys have given up on the Scooter and mad vans and now build over the top retro jap 70-80's nutter machines. Even in the UK the "Retro-J" scene is coming on strong, kids are buying the earliest Corollas and Civics, and earlier Starlets and as they get older and even cheaper insurance, Laurels and Crowns and Coronas and Carina 1's. They all get slammed mad camber and flat paint. It is like Hotrods-Kustoms all over again but world wide. -- Carl Robson
