America is NOT dying - it is changing, but that is nothing new.
There is a movie out about street gangs in an older American city (New York?). I can't remember the name of it, but I'm sure someone else will. This is how America was one hundred years ago. Notice the similarities to today?
You have to throw away your Leave It To Beaver TV paradigm of America and get real. This always has been a tough place. Only TV has made up this fantasy land representation of America that all too many folks believe is reality. Especially folks whose only view of America is via TV.
While it is true that the US standard of living has declined somewhat, many parts of the world have experienced the opposite. This makes the world a better place, to my way of reckoning.
If you are so fracking stupid that just holding a job at Mickey Dees is the best you can do, then STFU and accept your lot in life. Or, as Buffalo Bob used to say, "Play the cards you're dealt". Translation: stop the whining.
For the rest of us, business opportunities abound like never before.
