Yeah, but the way things are decided in this nation there is no legal responsibility with regards to what is behind you. You can legally cut someone off while going much slower than they are and then slam on the brakes. If there is a collision, it's not your fault legally and insurance wise. This is why this is used for insurance fraud.
Always minimize the time around semis. This is another reason I dislike LLBs and sloths because they like to hang around semis waiting for something bad to happen.
Case in point... I was driving on the interstate in the left lane pbutting a semi. In front of the semi in the middle lane was a sloth in a mini van. The driver of an SUV moves from the right to middle lane, for all effective purposes cutting off the semi. He then notices the sloth minivan doing the stone-in-river blocking the middle lane and hits the brakes. Thankfully, I had pbutted the semi as swifty as possible due to the people in front of me. In fact I had seen this starting and started tailgating the vehicle in front of me so I wouldn't get caught up in it by getting past the semi. Since I had opened the left lane, the semi driver changed lanes and avoided the collision.
