It's not that. I've been filling in my S-A tax return and because it is me, nothing is ever simple. Perhaps you may know the answer...so far the Inland Revenue don't despite it being forwarded to a "technical advisor".
Basically for the PAYE employment I was doing alongside the self employed stuff was for an agency. I never worked at the same place for more than one week. Going by the notes, I should be able to claim travel expenses as a cost because I wasn't travelling between home and a permanent place of work (commuting) nor did my employer, the agency, reimburse me travelling.
There's £1100 worth of mileage expenses at stake which is worth £700 in my pocket to me overall. Not a lot admittedly but it goes half way towards repaying the savings account for the cost of the Capri respray.
Need a new CarDave, I'm not suggesting that a peugeot car will not be brilliant, but the chances of it being brilliant are, well, much slimmer than a better-constructed thought-out...
I suppose most people would put it in anyway but I'm not very lucky and knowing me it'd end up with people with badges knocking at the door.
