I don't. Steering and braking are things that come easily. Surely she's been on the dodgems, a go kart or perhaps played on Sega Rally at the arcade? Even if she hasn't, steering and braking are a lot easier than mastering clutch control and correct gear selection.
Cars for 'comfortWhat depresses me about the dissolution of MG Rover is the fact that we have lost the one manufacturer still specialising in cars designed for 'comfort' rather...
Remember when you were a learner, how hard it was to make sure you didn't stall the car, especially with the pressure of being at the front of a queue at some traffic lights. My driving instructor had a new clutch fitted half way through my course and it totally threw me, although no where near as badly as the girl who had her lesson after mine - she stalled 12 times in a row at a busy roundabout!
Don't confuse the girl with an auto. She can choose to drive an auto later on. Also by asking you to "give her some driving lessons" are you sure she doesn't just want you to pay for some with an instructor?
Being driven by a complete novice when you're an experienced driver can be really frustrating and perhaps terrifying. Maybe you don't want to challenge your relationship with your daughter in this way :)
