Why do you bother arguing? There are idiots, and there will continue to be idiots, that believe that bicycles do not belong on any portion of the roadway. Regardless of law, common sense or any other actual, real problems that bicyclists might cause (as opposed to the imaginary ones, of course.)

Yes a lot of people are on cruise control which I take advantage of when lane splitting. If they are not using a cell phone, typically they are...

Remember, when you are on a bicycle, in order to make sure no motorist is ever inconvenienced, you should put yourself in danger of injury or rest, such that the LCD motorist will never have to exercise one single synapse on your behalf. After all, all the available computing power is obviously being used avoiding all the other LCD drivers that just happened to wander into a DMV and pay the money for a shiny, laminated card giving them the right to run your two-wheeled butt into the weeds if they feel like it. "I didn't see him."

P.S. Just as there is no shortage of idiot self-righteous motorists, there is also no shortage of idiot self-righteous spokeheads who do stupid stuff like critical mbutt rides in order to inflame motorists even more than they already are.
