Light Rail Myths and Realities 4968

Conditions vary. Tell me, why should we keep adding lanes and not address driver training? How many years does it take to get a lane added to an urban-suburban interstate from the time 'need' is seen? We can do considerably more with the roads we have, but that would mean realizing that people drive poorly and we wouldn't want to hurt their feelings.

Nanny the person? No. KEEP RIGHT EXCEPT TO Pbutt. How difficult is that to understand? Not IME. An extra lane is just an extra chance to get around a blockage. Let me put it this...

You want to play this strawman game, I am not going to play.

IN THAT CASE. Do you know how to READ? Of course you do, you're just playing strawman games. Do it again, you're in the kill file.

Do you have a comprehension problem?

1) drivers fail to keep right except to pbutt. 2) drivers end up side by side. 3) clumps form. 4) clumps grow. 5) merge impared drivers, people changing lanes, cause braking. 6) clumps grow into each other. 7) merge impared drivers, people changing lanes, cause braking. 8) traffic slows into bumper-to-bumper jams.

This has been the story from the get go. You have to be doing this on purpose.

It will get far more than adding a lane. An additional lane is quickly clogged without lane displine. That's what I've written since the start. What is with you and the strawmen?

Trouble is, that's not the claim I made. I made the claim that WITHOUT LANE DISPLINE adding a lane doesn't do much of anything when there is a significant amount of traffic such as peak time periods. I don't know how many times I must repeat it before you can understand it.
