Uno Hoo!
You were lucky. Last night I had the dubious pleasure of having to drive from Reading to Blackpool, and it was pretty much foggy all the way, of varying densities (very bad in Oxfordshire).
The main thing I noticed was how poor lane discipline was, much worse than normal. I think it was partly due to the fact that it's so much harder to judge distances and speeds in the fog. Looking ahead up the road, it's often quite hard to tell which lane a vehicle is in, and I think people just stuck where they were as it was easier. That and the fact that trucks (without rear fog lights on) would loom up pretty quickly when in lane 1.

All in all, a knackering journey. I normally listen to radio 4 on my trip; this time I found I was having to concentrate so much on my driving, I hardly took anything in from the radio.
It was also annoying, if not surprising, how many accidents there were on the motorways yesterday. One cold and foggy day, and they were having to close bits of motorway all over the place,
