encountered The situation I described is admittedly rare, but I have known it. In these cases I have used a combination of dipped headlights and front fog lights. I'm sure we're all aware...

Well, I am talking from experience, but not a huge amount of experience. I travel along a narrow twisty, and dangerous NSL country road everyday. Even in my Sei it gets tight at times, especially when idiots are comming the other way. Occasionally you get branches hanging down too. I think it would be a lot hard with a bigger car. I have also driven slightly bigger cars in the past and it seemed like a noticeable difference to me (Ford KA, and Fiesta).

Small cars are also good for traffic where a vehicle wants to turn right. On some occasions I have left Mercs etc. behind where they couldn't get through lol. I would certainly miss being able to get through these small gaps.

It depends how you look at it really. The most use I would get from a car would probably when I'm doing 40+mph on a simple road, and size, or my ability-skill, wouldn't really be an issue. Where the car makes the difference is when I need to do things such as parking, getting through narrow gaps, and going around corners.

It's the complex tasks that I want to be simplified such as reversing into and across my driveway (it's a lot more complex than it sounds). Another thing I want is the ability to put the car in the garage to do work-servicing on it. With my Sei there is plenty of room for me to work on the car in the garage, which is really nice.

These days parking spaces are far too small, so a small car is a real benefit here to avoid people denting my car.
