The problem is, after two occasions of missing a speed camera, I will have to give more attention to misplaced boxes on the side of the road. There is no doubt in my mind whatsover, that both of these cameras are placed to generate revenue and not for safety reasons.
Conor, you have driven tired and so has everyone else. I agree, driving at the point of exhaustion is not advisable, but I didn't feel I was at that point. Remember, I was a taxi driver for over a million miles without a single point or incident, so I do know the dangers and signs.
I did miss the 50 limit though and that is an error, but if you were to be honest, you will also admit to missing speed limits at some point. I am often accused of coming across as a driving God, and I will agree I was naive when I first posted here. That is not the case now, and I openly post about the bad points of my driving too.
I left the party at 22:30, dispite my family urging me to stay until midnight - I was called all the normal things like killjoy! However, I left, recognising my responsibilities to not drive exhausted. I had coffee at my sisters before proceeding.
Thanks for you concern, and it is nice to know we can play nicely too. However, I still fail to see how safety will be improved if I do get a ticket for 8mph over at 1:30am on a deserted road.
