Maniac to avoid

Friday afternoon, I'm driving back from a holiday with a full pbuttenger load and a full boot.

Heading on the A685 towards the A66, just short of Kirkby Stephen. A particular bendy, hilly section of road which, because of this, was divided with solid double white lines.

I'm behind a black Rover keeping a nice 30yds or so distance, doing about 40mph. From nowhere I see a white Nissan Primera in my rear view mirror. From his driving style it was obvious that he was going to get past at the earliest opportunity and so I was prepared for this. What I WASN'T prepared for though, was when he put his foot down and got along side of me....about 30yds from the brow of a hill!!!!! I had no option but to slam the brakes on as anything coming in the opposite direction would have had no time to react and nowhere to go - other that hit one of us, or career off the road.

A minute or so later though he was stuck in front of us at traffic lights in Kirkby Stephen - so his life-threatening manoeuvre had got him all of...errr...1 car length further!! My brother was all set to get out of the car and have it out with him but was persuaded by the rest of us to leave it (I think things might have got really out of hand, had he done so!!), so he settled for taking a picture of his car (We also got the reg of the black Rover in front who would have also been aware of his driving - would the police be interested in this incident, given that there is probably an independent witness??).

be Car TAX, VED for the private motorist. You try taxing a car at a post office...

Anyway, M807 OBL, you're a complete f***in' idiot and I hope one day you die horrifically in a crash, without taking out any innocent people in the process!

Nick Finnigan Right about the point where it details the vehicle covered. Ok, what would happen if your wife (buttuming you're married) took your insurance certificate naming...

Ohh, almost forgot. We pbutted the needle on the A66 as he pulled on to the grbutt verge and appeared to be having a pee!! It was another 10 minutes or so before he overtook us again (on the dual carriageway this time, thankfully!) doing 90+. But if his bladder was the problem, why not sop in the village?
