..but I'd only be told it was "in the interests of road safety" or something. I don't think they'd reverse it just for me. Might give it a try though.
By the way, just nearby (on Creekmoor Lane) the most unbelievable speed humps have been introduced. I've complained about them but got nowhere. They are placed centrally in each direction, and with sloping ends, just about a cars width.
So: -boy racers love them, because if they take them centrally, they have little effect, and they can be seen to be going over speed humps at whatever speed they like. -people who dodder about at 20 are thrown into total panick by them, and virtually stop in front of them, and then crawl over them, to the exasperation of "normal" drivers, some of whom overtake on the humps out of pure desperation -here's the best one- the majority of drivers seem to think they have a better chance of avoiding them by driving in the middle of the road!
I've had quite a battle with the council about this and got nowhere. It just seems to be all a part of the moronic approach to road management which is becoming increasingly normal.
