Brimstone Of course you do. If its a load unloading only road, then when you pbutt that road you know that you are free to drive on any road you like and not just one...

Driving from Norwich to Dunstable today, a route i do on a regular basis, i was travelling on the Bedford bypbutt west (70mph) i spotted a white van parked on the left with blacked out rear windows, doors closed, it had some initials on the side which where something like snrp? but did not have time to look closely as the Audi in front had jumped on the brakes so my focus was on his reactions rather than a parked van at the side of the road, would rather get nicked than have an accident. Being some few hundred yards away i was doing 98mph exactly when i saw the van, brake lights from the Audi alerted me, (playing with my new sat nav system i was checking the sat nav speed against my speedo reading which appears to read 10% faster) I am way past the boy racer era and strictly adhere to the limits in built up areas, don't care if injury is less to a person at 30 i don't want to hit them in the first place but do admit to exceeding the 70mph road limit if conditions allow. Suppose i will have to watch the mail for the next 2 weeks now to see what turns up, not sure if this speed is a fixed penalty or a court appearance and could result in a ban, that would be difficult as i am self employed and have to travel the country for work. On principle I would rather work at Tesco,s than claim benefit so will accept whatever comes, there are much more deserving cases for benefit from our friends arriving from overseas than for a lowly Englishman.

Incidently having used the sat nav for a few weeks now, when starting out it gives you an ETA for your destination, i have found that if you drive to the speed limits or if you race away from the lights and drive like a Bat out of hell (Mmm good name for an album that)i always arrive within a few minutes of my estimated start out time, what does that tell you!

so I must have been hallucinating this morning on my way in to work. I was at the Alexandra Gate traffic lights, waiting to turn right into traffic...
