You mean he's old enough to drive, has presumably been out with you and he's not picked up or had you teach him, any of the basic control systems? Sheesh, what kind of father are you? Have you never pointed these simple things out. Has he never RTFM?

Why do you feel the need to belittle him publicly for it? All it shows is the possible lack of completeness in our current levels of driver training and the potential failings of the current driving test system. To say nothing of a dad that lets his son drive without teaching him anything other than basic driving technique, but who feels it's right to carp and moan at everyone else for their transgressions.
I don't think all the fault is with the son ...
