Not for an inferior bulb. At Wal-Wart, I'd expect that both XtraVisions and NightHawks would be about half that. At any other store, they're still about 2-3rds of that for two, and still a better deal.

I did, by pointing you to Daniel Stern. He's the automotive lighting expert around here. All the explanations you need are on his website, and all are backed by sound scientific principals.

If you want a photometric chart showing how bad the SilverStars are, I'll bet he knows where to find it.

No, it really isn't. It is physically impossible for a bulb with a blue coating to produce anything near "perfectly white" light.
