I'd be happier if people just stopped pbutting the buck at all :-)

No. I understand that The Inland Taipan can be quite dangerous :-) But there again, is it? It's actually quite shy and will usually only attack if cornered. i.e. it requires a human act stupidly to cause a problem.

Yep. That has nothing whatsoever to do with the road. Nutters are likely to be found at any time, on any road. They are entirely unpredictable and are equally...

I think that applies to everyone to a greater or lesser extent. There is a junction near me that is t-junction with triangle, both sides of the triangle being two-way. Visibility to the right is limited, quite sharply, by a high wall. Visibility to the left is better. If, as usual I wish to turn right at this junction, the normal procedure would be to take the right branch. Due to the limited visibility I always prefer to take the left branch and turn right from there. The extra 25-30 yards that it gives allows me to see that little bit further along the road to the right but, more importantly, it allows traffic coming from the right to see me and gives them 25-30 yards extra stopping distance if necessary. I would never describe that junction as dangerous. It is perfectly safe to turn right from the right branch if you observe properly and exercise care, but I prefer to make life easier for myself.
