I drove over to Godstone yesterday. On the way back at about 3pm all of the drivers ahead of me were "proceeding" at 40-45mph in the areas signed as NSL. Not one of them used their indicators at any time. Not one of them knew how to take a roundabout and all got themselves in the right hand lane in order to take the first exit from the many roundabouts on the Horsham bypbutt.
When I got towards major towns such as Billingshurst and Petworth it was noticeable that every one of them was speeding, the (30) sign apparently means (45) in their minds. Even when negotiating Petworth, which is a bugger of a place long overdue a bypbutt, they steamed through narrow street at the same speed.
When we eventually got to the one bit of road that I coudl overtake successfully (Petworth to Midhurst) I was treated to flashing headlights, shaken fists and even attempts to run me off the road for daring to pbutt the buggers at 60mph on the single carriageway sections and 70mph on the short sections of dual carriageway.
I think taking their licences away is too good for them, some car crushing is needed.
