No valid road tax who's problem

GeoffC That isn't quite true. They do drive aggressively but not like the French. Their rules...

They suck, I used to hire car a car maybe a dozen times a year and they would always screw it up somehow. They had a policy of not renting anything more than a 1.4 if you were under 25, as I was at the time. On several occasions they would try to fob me off with a 1.0L Nissan Micra, pretending it was 'similar' to the 1.4 Astra I'd asked for! Then I have to sit around for hours or go to another branch while they sort it out.

GeoffC Congested and heavily bibutted towards car drivers. No lane discipline. Signalling is optional. Tailgating is now...

Last time I tried to hire from them they said the Corsa someone was bringing back was damaged and they didn't have a car for me. If I wanted to come back in a few hours then they might have something (this despite there being more 1.6 Astras there than you could shake a stick at, no, I couldn't have one of those!!).. I needed to get where I was going, they'd already made me late by 2 hours, the best they could do is give me a lift to National Car Rental (in a filthy van no less) who were able to give me a car without problems, rather ironcially it was a 1.6!

I continued to hire from National until I bought my own car last year.
