So what? The point is I had petrol while the pumps were empty for a short time and in the case of the blockade working, for emergencies. Nobody claimed filling up once would see you through a long dispute. You told me it was obvious no real blockade would happen, so I had fuel for the few days there would be none available, pretty sensible then, from your perspective.
I filled up because everybody else was already doing so and there was no point in being the only one who could not get fuel. I don't see why having fuel while the pumps were empty "is no reason whatsoever". I you want to be a martyr feel free, you're wasting you're time telling me to join you with an empty tank, because one or two people not filling up will not alter things one bit. The only thing that will stop queues at the pumps is government action to ensure blockades are not tolerated.
You say "I bled the pumps dry" as if me changing my actions would change everybody elses, but it wont. I don't fill up, everybody else still does and my tankful probably ends up hoarded in cans in someone's garage. Totally pointless. -- Mike Reid
