What was interesting was the atbreastude of many other drivers after I got my first BMW - not new, but a current model. Where before, in my last car, I'd expect to be let out from a side road into a traffic queue, some drivers seemed to go to any lengths to stop me. And also break the law by pulling onto roundabouts etc where I had the right of way. However, the good news is that this isn't anything like as common now in London some 10 years down the line even with a different model of BMW. Other thing is the amazing amount of damage when parked in carparks, etc. Many many many times worse than with any other car I've owned - despite taking more care when parking up - away from other vehicles when possible, etc.
Now what logical explanation is there for such behaviour other than jealousy? 'I can't have what you have so will damage it' is a common enough atbreastude judging by the number of cars of all makes that are vandalised.
It's the same prejudice as saying 'all blacks are dirty drug dealers' or whatever. Comes from narrow minds.
